This afternoon, Logan had a much longer, louder, more real laugh, while Deric & I were tickling his neck & face! He's been doing little chuckles, coos & smiles quite a bit this week, but he was hysterically laughing at only 3 & half months! He is soooo ticklish- way too cute!!! Isn't this developmentally early? My little smarty-pants. He he.

Saturday March 28 at Santa Ana Zoo & mellow Sun.

Saturday, Drake & I meet our friends Heather & Emma( 2 & half yrs) for a playdate at Santa Ana Zoo. The four of us hadn't been there since last Spring, but we got to do & see many new things. There is a new, huge, beautiful Bald Eagle, a carousel with really original animals to ride like an otter, eagle, white tiger, zebras, a spinning bird's nest, humming bird, etc, and BEST of all was the elephant ride- which d almost had a heart attack when we saw! We saw about 10 different types of monkeys- the best were the howler monkeys that talked very loudly to us, a variety of snakes, lizards, birds, a wallaby, etc. We rode the train of course, that goes through the farm animal section-- surprise surprise d-man loved the mini horse & pony best in that part of zoo. Drake was very clingy, kissy & huggy to me during our approx. 3 hour stay! It seemed much hotter in SA, than in the LBZ! That zoo is very cool for kids 1-5. Now, d wants to visit LA & SD zoos again. Our next family adventure continues when D has work off on Tuesday & we take our first weekday trip to Disneyland; hope we get on the Nemo underwater ride this time, finally!
Sunday was very mellow & chill(so nice). We went to church (our pastor has such cute stories we can relate to about his almost 4 yr. old & 1 & half yr. old), D & d did the 2-mile turtle walk, while Logan napped & I cleaned, we went to Sam's Club for first time in awhile & were very geeked on our savings & eating samples, we had family movie afternoon with"Bolt" & then it was mommy-Drakey bath/shower time, stories & bedtime. Since both little men are happily in beddy-bye, it is time for us to relax & try to go to bed early......

The adventures of Baby Logi-Bear
This week Logan has increased how long he can go without milky in the middle of the night, but decreased his daytime naps most days to a hand full of cat naps. On Friday night, he slept from 9:30-4:30- 7 hours- wow!!! He was giggling, smiling & cooing this morning, when Drake & Deric were tickling him! He wore shorts yesterday for the first time-they were so funny. He has paid very close attention this week to his rainforest musical toy in his crib & is improving his toy snitching abilities! His adorably chubby tummy & cheeks continue to amaze us.

Weekend of March 21-22- Drake's special days

This weekend, Drakey had a mommy day on Saturday & daddy day on Sunday! On Saturday, D & I went to the Lakewood Pony Adventure, where he rode the big boy "Trotters" for the first time-- he has always ridden the smaller ponies that walk around in a circle for 5 minutes. We checked out the petting farm animals, afterward. Next we rode the El Dorado Park train, twice! Lastly, we got a Happy meal lunch! Sunday, Drake got a donut with daddy on the way to LB aquarium, that he hadn't been to in about two months, in the AM. After a brief lunch break at home( with all four of us) Daddy & Drake continued their afternoon at Disneyland- which we got passing to for our Valentine present!
Hope you like the pics!
Logi-Bear had a mellow time at home with daddy on Sat & mommy on Sun(poor baby mouth hurts him...wonder if 1st tooth appear soon....)

The Waters- Week of 3/16
I have been wanting to get this set up for like 9 months--finally!! We hope this is a fun way to keep in touch with you all & let you see our beautiful little boys, on a regular basis. So here goes.....
Logan is three months old now. He is much bigger than Drakey was at this age, but has the same eyes, chubby cheeks, and mellow demeanor as his big bro did at this age. We think our Logi is pre teething, as he has been shark attacking both fists at the same time, blowing spit bubbles and drooling for the past week. This week Logi & I saw "Auntie" Julie & Baby Aly for a lunch date & have been catching up on our cuddle time, after being apart for about 36 hours, while Drakey & I were in Napa, last weekend. Logan still has a precious baby soft head, face and yummy smell. I have been taking Logan for monthly picture sessions at babies r us & it is amazing the changes in the three pictures. The 3 month pic, was last Friday in his St. Patrick's onesie & holding his "snap snap croc" that D & d picked up for him from Rain Forest Cafe, when he was still in the hospital!
Drakey is only 4 months shy of turning four--I can't believe how time flies! He already talks about his 4 year birthday party-he he. He is such a mature boy now. He reminds me about daily that he is a big boy, not a baby. He recently stopped wearing pull ups at bedtime & is in underwear 100% of time; he, daddy & I are all very proud of this. Last Saturday morning Drake & I flew up to NOR CA to see my family. Uncle Andy, Auntie M, & Baby Peter picked us up in SF & then we all went to Napa. We saw my parents new house, smaller, newer & very nice ( weird to see them not in the house I grew up in). Drakey keeps saying that grandma & grandpa have a new house, all this week-- over & over (ha). Highlights of the trip were watching my parents, especially my dad interact with big boy Drake, watching D with Peter, seeing my extended Ward fam, hearing funny stories about my dad, aunt & uncle as kids, looking at my childhood photo albums & especially my dad giving D a ride on his scooter. All 4 of us will return for more Ward family time during Easter break!
