The last 2 weekends of August

Not much different than usual, the past 2 weeks have been busy & hectic M-TH, but fun filled on the weekends! 2 weeks ago, D & d enjoyed DL on a Wednesday night & d & I went again on Sunday! This was our first time there since early June. The day before Deric & I also enjoyed a lunch date at Claim Jumper! Last week, I also started the Fall semester of the school year & am teaching 2 ESL evening courses--5-930 nightly. They both went well for week 1. This past week, we had 6 other families over for an end-of-summer playdate, with pizza, ice cream & outside playing! D & I had a date night on Saturday--with some yummy food, drinks, view, talking & even dancing! Sunday, we enjoyed a trip to LB Aquarium for the first time this summer. This morning was very emotional, but healing at my new AM grief group.......I am so thankful that, unlike others in the group,
I got to say goodbye to my wonderful dad. At the boy's resttime over the weekend, D & I finally finished putting up the grandpa wall of fame.....framed obit, his beautiful framed nature photo, large pics of him holding each boy for 1st time & more......hard to do, but so needed for us to see him EVERYDAY.

August Trip to Napa

The Farm, near Grandma's old house is so cool! D's prior visit there was with grandpa on Memorial Day weekend!

All 3 of the boys love swimming!

Napa car show was neat...D loved the many orange cars, of course.

Think the Napa Fair was MORE fun this Summer, than the OC Fair!

August 09

On our 4 day stay in Napa, we also enjoyed swimming 2x, seeing a friend from high school, the fair, a car show, 2 yummy mexican restaurant meals, spending time with Uncle Andy, Auntie M, Baby Peter, GG, grandma & of course we visited dad/grandpa at his resting place & went to a mass, dedicated in his memory.

Our last summer visit to Napa was very fun filled, including our first trip to Science-topia.....Logan was into the hands-on fun almost more than Drake!

On my 33rd birthday afternoon, I was baptized at the beach, amongst 100s of others from Parkcrest Christian.....My firstr time taking Him as my Savior, as an adult or Christian(After being raised Catholic).....It was a hugely spirtual moment for me & I'm thrilled that my mom was in LB then, to watch me!

July 09

July is always a busy month for us because of so many family members bdays- especially Drake's! On July 17th, D & best friend, Brody, celebrated their bdays at the preschool with a Dino theme. This July 18th was the 2nd annual bday trip to Sea World & of course it was a blast! Other than that, mommy was very busy at work, back up to 4 nights & teaching ESL advanced for 1st time(at this school) after 5 semesters in the low level. But it went very well!
