So I know, there are a ton of pics here, but we have been so slammed since Feb. 1 that this is my first blog entry since late 09/early 10! In January, I chopped my hair to my chin and got my celtic cross tattoo done, in dedication to dad...it is the cross on his gravestone. As this is a very painful process still daily, I thought this symbol in such a visualable place would bring me happiness in my thoughts about that(deric surprised me by getting it also). Earlier that same day, we had a rainy day play date at Chuck E Cheese, with Emma & Heather! Drakey & I had a mommy-son date visiting Santa Ana zoo, with Heather & Emma, too.
In February, Logan & I escorted Drakey & his preschool Pre-K
friends on a walking field trip, meet auntie julie and almost-big girl/toddler aly at awesome heritage park, had our last visit to disneyland before our pass
expired, lots of weekend visits with daddy to wardlow park or
the airplane park, threw a baby shower with roya for heather's second daughter(born on Monday AM), celebrated valentines with a visit from grandma,
buzz lightyear wings for d-man and a relaxing overnight date for
mommy and daddy.
So U might ask...Whats new with us?????Deric: Working 50+ hour weeks from feb1-early april, parties with boys each week night and tries to rest when logan isn't a terrible sleeper. poor daddy......he's such a good sport. Daddy does get to chill late at night during week, if not asleep, and most weekends.
Kristen: enjoying a very full class this semester of very motivated and personable students...they are at the end of a very big oral presentation-they have been SO nervous. Been a bit of a basketcase researching, observing and deciding about drake's schooling, but thrilled to have been able to finally made a decision we are all happy with, called bethany school, a christian lb school that still has small class sizes and an all day program!
Drake: enjoys preschool 3 morning a week and other 2 mornings of home schoolwork with mommy. imagination constantly on over drive as marty the zebra,
steve the monkey, or buzz light year. he's really excited to be starting gymnastics in April and swim classes again in may. still loves playing in our backyard, parks, playing with "brother-brother", visiting el dorado park/"turtle park", etc....Found out how big our big boy is earlier this month at hiskindergarten physical....90% in height and weight for all 4.5 year olds!
Logan: He's almost 15 months and not quite an independant walker, but getting less lazy about it. He's just got his 4th bottom
tooth, to now match his top teeth. He makes lots of animal sounds, with the elephant being his fave! He still lacks the ability to sleep through the night. Logi loves outside play, Elmo, bunny rabbits, etc
