Our Spring Break

Right before bedtime on Easter eve, we gave the boys their matching baskets- d's was filled with playdo, puzzles, books, flarp(so funny makes fart noises), a stuffed wonder pet toy, of course 3 new dudes(mini animal figurines) & a little candy in dino eggs. Logi bear got few soft books, new toys with teethers & mirrors, 2 packs of onesies & a super soft stuffed sheep(the mini version of Drake's Easter sheep from 2 years ago!)We left to drive up to Napa the night before Easter, after the boys were asleep & arrived in middle of night, just over 6 hours later. Deric got to stay with us til late morning Monday, to return home to work. I stayed on with the boys til TH am. On Easter mom did a egg hunt for Drakey, that we videoed, with coin filled eggs, to put in his new dino piggy bank from grandma & pa! Both boys got summer clothes as Easter goodies from grandma, Auntie Val /GG, and from Auntie Meave/Uncle Andy/Baby Peter. Drakey got bit of chocolate in a cool yellow dino bucket/basket (matches his dino garden shoes!)

While in Napa, we went to grandma's neighborhood park, visited with GG(boy's great grandma), great aunt val, uncle andy, auntie meave, cousin peter, great uncle joe & close family friends, Connie & Bill, took walks, Drake loved running few errands w/ grandma, played on grandma's patio(where we saw quails!!) & best of all cuddling with grandpa! On Easter evening Deric told dad how much he loved him and how important he(my dad) is to him and promised he would take care of his family! It was extremely emotional, but I was very proud & happy that Deric got to do that. I also, got to quickly sneak out on our last afternoon, while d took a rare nap, and made an appt to get our Logan tattoo's next month!! Only negative, was a brief (low grade) fever d spiked for a few hours, our last day.

It felt like a miracle that our flight home just the boys & I went off without any stress! Everybody that saw us probably were so nice, feeling bad for a single mom with 2 small kids-HA- I have before.

Friday, after we returned, (to 5 days of summer heat!)we shopped for Baby Aly's 1st b-day gift, went to Sam's club, that d loves(not sure why-HA) & went to the airplane park with Brody, Piper & Tessa. Saturday, we had a fun lunch date with "auntie" Julie & baby Aly at d's favorite- Rain Forest Cafe in Downtown Disney. Sunday, we went to 10:00 service(after mommy slept through 8:30 service-he he), attended Alyson's 1st bday & Deric & Drakey did the 1 mile El Dorado turtle walk ( too hot to take baby logan).
WAS GREAT BREAK!

Logan's April Babies R Us Pics (4-10)

It totally blows my mind how almost 4 month Logi-Bear is so happy & smiles for every picture! Logan's photos at 2-4 months look like Drake's pics did at 7-8 months, at least in the face! Logan scooched a bit during tummy time, yesterday!

The Boys Easter Party (4/9)

Thursday's party was so fun! We've never had 11 other kids/babies at our pad, when not for a birthday! We had neighbor friends, school friends & other friends, too. The kids decorated their eggs, decorated Easter cookies-Drakey accidentally poured almost the whole shaker of chocolate sprinkles on one of his cookies! The kids enjoyed Drake's cars & bikes and swing set- "outside games" as d calls back yard play. I think we may all have to get together again next month--for Father's Day crafts or something.....Thanks for coming Tessa, Elizabeth, Esther, Traci, Heather & Julie Kay!

Easter Bunny: Round 2--D & L (4/9)

When it comes to Easter photos, boys seem soooooo much easier than girls--the 6 strollers of little ones in line in front of us today, had pretty ruffles, flowers, bows, ribbons & perfectly done hair; my boys wore blue tops--thats it--HA

Daddy's day off= Family Fun time! (Wed. 4/8)

So, because Deric had Wednesday off this week, we had a nice mellow home-date on Tuesday, when I got home from work--think burgers & margs! Then, Wednesday I slept in til 9:30!!!!! I was sooo out & it felt great! Deric took D to school. Logi, daddy & I took a walk down to get a bagel and coffee. Deric picked Drake up an hour early from school & we had a great family lunch at Rain Forest Cafe, in Downtown Disney--D's favorite favorite! Logan stayed awake almost the whole time, really taking in all the great stuff to see, even if he'd been there like 4 other times in his short life-- he he. Deric & Drakey had a fun boys trip to the park when we got home. What a happy day, especially for Drakey!

Yesterday afternoon, both boys napped for maybe 2nd time since we've been a foursome!

Birthday Party Mania (4/5)

Sunday, Logan attending his 1st birthday party, it was for Piper (Drake's best bud, Brody's lil sis). D & Brody of course played the whole time in their jumper, with all his great toys, with his cousins, etc. Deric & I enjoyed Tessa & her rarely not working hubby, Josh. Her mother-in-law is super sweet & parading Logan around like a proud grandma would- he he. Piper looked like a little princess. In the afternoon, just Drake & I continued the party circuit to another 1st b-day party for my friend & maid of honor from my wedding, Roya's daughter. D & L both got goody bags & Drakey ate cake at both parties! UGH. At the 2nd party they did a craft & an egg hunt & played at the park. D got to play with his bud, Emma, at this party. Another fun & tiring Waters family weekend......
